Hi, I am Jake Himmel, your guitar tech. I have been playing guitar and bass for over 15 years.
In that time, I have grown to set up, modify and repair countless instruments in that time period. I have worked on anything from Squires and Epiphones to Vintage Fender and Gibson Custom shop instruments.

Here are some signs your instrument needs a setup:
- Your instrument is hard to play
- Notes seem out of tune or otherwise have a buzzy quality and lack of sustain
- Guitar is constantly going out of tune
- Your guitar has NEVER been setup or it has been longer than 6-9 months since your last setup
- Changes in seasonal weather make your instrument’s wood settle in weird ways, affecting playability.
I believe that everyone should have great sounding and playing instruments without the steep high cost associated with big box stores and other techs in town. This is my core belief and speaks to why my services are so affordable!
