This was a small person project of mine, for my personal pedal board. I have a Dunlop Volume (X) mini pedal which can be used for either Volume control or as an expression pedal. Now here is the catch, you can’t use the expression pedal portion of the pedal when it is plugged in for use as a volume pedal. Essentially, you will be triggering the expression as the volume would decrease. My solution was to add a tiny switch that can be turned on and off to turn off the volume capabilities and only leave the expression pedal abilities. With some simple solder work, I made that dream reality. Now, I can use this pedal as an expression pedal while it is plugged in as a volume pedal, as long as I flip the switch. I also adjusted the tension of the pedal to make sure that it had a bit of stiffness, and not so much play!
